Tuesday, May 1, “Building Community Alternatives to Capitalism”, by Brooklyn Skillshare

2:45PM-3:45PM: Bags for the People Reusable Bag Sewing Workshop http://bagsforthepeople.org  (the whole event goes from 11 am-9:45 pm, but this is the sewing bit)

 

Saturday, May 19, FREEGAN SEWING BRUNCH
A free, mostly vegan meal and community building event where we trade skills in clothing repair. We will not have a sewing machine but will share skills in hand repair. When & Where? Noon. Call Janet at 347-724-6954 for the location.

 

Sunday.May 27, 2-4 pm, “Patch Happy” Repair Workshop with Sewing Rebellion at NurtureArt

Gather your used garments for this mending circle, dedicated to making and using patches as visual symbols of who (and what) makes us proud.
